Salvation
My Prayer Life
How do I stay grounded in God? One way I keep myself grounded in my faith is having a strong prayer life. A prayer is just an open communication with God through Jesus, that's why we say in Jesus name Amen at the end of each prayer. When test and trials come my way, all I can do is pray! At times it so heavy, I feel like everything is collapsing around me and like I'm alone in the situation. But God always reassures me that he's here with me. He does this through his word, a person and directly through my spirit. Do I feel like praying everyday? No, at times all I can do is just sit still and let the Holy Spirit speak to me. A couple of years ago the Holy Spirit told me to pray for the nations, and just recently he spoke to me again about this matter but this time it was a heavy burden that laid on my chest. I had to pray or else I wasn't going to get any sleep that night. Our nations need prayers! God is hurting to see what's is going on in this world full of sin. As it's evident on the news people souls are in damnation. Just recently there was a Navy Yard shooting in Washington Dc, how devastating was that? How about the Westgate Mall shooting in Kenya? Not to mention the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that claimed the lives of 330 people in Pakistan! Oh! Don't stop there, what about in Beijing, a man snatched a baby from a stroller and hurled her to death in an argument over a parking space! What?? Get the picture? As time draws nearer to Jesus return for his Church (body of Christ) we see more and more destructions taking place. Why? Because the Bible states in 1 Peter 5:8, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Yes! Satan is real and so is Hell! I don't want to see any my friends, family, enemies, and acquaintances end up in that place! It was not created for humans but for Satan and his fallen angels (demons)! Please everyone who is reading this, accept Jesus Christ today and make him your Lord and Savior, and get to know him personally. In John 14:6, it sates: Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Therefore, he is the gateway to Heaven, please don't be fooled by satan. Thank you for your ear, God bless you!
My Calling
September 11, 2001 as many would remember the great tragedy that took the lives of innocent civilians. I remembered it as a wake up call from God about my life
and how I was living. A flash back from the past, I'm looking out the window of my school just in time to witness the second plane crashing into the second tower!!! Boom!! Big explosion! Frantic noise and screams coming from every direction. Voices on the intercom stating we have to evacuate the building NOW. It was then I had an encounter with God. I remember his spirit speaking to me and asking me a very good question. "Kizzy if you were to die now where would you spend eternity? Heart beating 1000 Miles per second, my answer was Hell! His respond was Yes! because you do not know me, you don't have a relationship with me. He then told me to surrender my life totally to him and he's going to use me for his Glory! I did just that and today I can declare that I'm a living testimony of God's love, grace and mercy! Sometimes it takes a great tragedy to get a wake up call. Just as the tragedy that hit NYC, and Washington Dc on 9/11/2001, America woke up! Lets not forget about the awakening and let's keep , loving, praying and caring for one another. Don't let it have to be another wake up call for us to remember why we woke up in the first place. God bless the lost souls, and lets remember the living souls in our prayers. September 11, 2001, A Day to Remember! The 10 Deadly Sins of the Tongue
1. Lying- (Proverbs 6:16- 17) I fall short so many times with this because sometimes it's not my intention to lie but let's say that someone ask me a question I don't want to answer at the moment, I would tell a lie just to get them off my back. Even telling a lie to someone just not to hurt their feelings is still a sin regardless of the reason behind it and if we continue to do it, it's like we are linking with the Devil who is the father of all Lies and not with God who speaks about truth. I had to repent many times for this sin and God is still working on me with it. I thank God for his grace and mercy!2. Sowing discord (proverbs 6:19) I was never a part taker in this however I've seen it a lot in my surroundings and it always gives that person a bad reputation. We should never want the title of a confusion maker. When someone is miserable he/she wants everyone to feel their misery so they make it in their will power to get the job done. Never let that be you!
3. Gossip- spreading rumors, intimate secrets or facts about someone. (Ephesians 4:29) Even though we may not be spreading rumors about someone but just by telling their secret or facts about them is gossiping. The only words we should we uttering about them is when we are praying for them. If someone in trusted you to tell you something intimate about themselves it should not be publicize.
4. Slander (1 Corinthians 5:11) many of times I would seclude my self because I refuse to associate with people who does such. There is a saying that's goes birds of a feather flock together. So therefore if I don't want to be considered apart of the group of slanderers, I should keep out. I prefer to stand up alone for something than to fall in with the crowd for anything.
5. Tale bearing ( revealing secrets or breaking confidence) (Proverbs 11:13) when we become a tale bearer it's like we are stamped on our forehead with the words NEVER TRUST THIS PERSON. The bible says that the words of a tale bearer are as wounds and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. Ouch! (Proverbs 18:8)
6. Cursing (James 3:10) We should be speaking a blessing everyday over our lives. When we curse we cannot be bless. For example sometimes I might utter the word damn if something goes wrong. As harmless as it may seems I am cursing myself because damn stems from the word damnation and that's a curse. So we got to be careful of the words that comes out of our mouth. If it's not blessing it's most likely cursing.
7. Blasphemy- something slanderous and injurious to ones good name. ( Matthew 12:31) The Bibles speaks about Blasphemy against the son of man (Jesus) and Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. If someone speaks against Jesus and came to the realization of their wrong doing, they can be forgiven. But if someone speaks against the works of the Holy Spirit they cannot be forgiven states the bible. Why? Because this sin is done deliberately and they are discrediting Gods work through the Holy Spirit. THAT'S MAJOR! It's like when the Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out demons by the power of Beelzebub (Satan) and they knew for a fact that it was the power of the Holy Spirit but they didn't want to give recognition. If you have the holy Spirit in you therefore you cannot commit this sin because there will be great conviction. The tree are known by its fruits. Evil produces evil and good produces good.
8. Filthy Language- (Col. 3:8) Yes this means all obscene languages. I thank God that my Mom brought us up with respect for ourselves and others and that includes no cursing allowed and to this day I can say that I don't like cursing and I clinches every time I hear some uses a foul language around me. (Ephesians 5:4)
9. Contentious Speech (Proverbs 26:21) Nobody likes to be next to a quarrelsome person. We ought not to be like this. Sometimes is not about being right all the time but doing what is right to keep peace. I used to always wanted to get my way and have the last word but through the years of trials and tribulations I've learn to humble myself and let God take the lead even when I was faced with all injustice. Yes I've matured well in Christ.
10. Negativity- (Proverbs 18:21) Whatever we speak it comes forth. Speak life and there will be life, speak death and there will be death therefore choose your words wisely. I pray this really helps everyone who views this and you'll bless someone else by spreading the word. God bless you!
Jesus Saves and Restores
When all hope is lost and you find yourself in agony and despair, just call on the name Jesus! That name may seem so simple in the natural but it's very powerful in the supernatural. The bible says even the demons know the power in his name and tremble. When the name of Jesus is called it's like an earthquake that shakes Heaven's walls! All destruction has to halt for our Savior to answer his call! Jesus name is like a mighty wave that crashes through hells gate. Don't under estimate the name that bears all sins, died and rose again! So whenever you're in doubt and feel strunged out, call on his name for your life regained. What's his name? JESUS! What's his name JESUS! What's his name? JESUS! You see, I told you there is power in his name!
